An easier way to start showing your products on the Shopping tab in Google.

Google Shopping.

Google is adding a new section for Shopping tab listings in Search Console. In a more streamlined process, online retailers will be able to show products in the Shopping tab without the need to submit a product feed.

The feature will be rolled out over the next few weeks. Eligible merchants who have implemented product markup will see a new section called Shopping tab listings.

“From there, merchants will be able to easily create a Merchant Center account using a simplified assisted sign-up process without the need to re-verify website ownership. With this new option, there is no need to submit a product feed; merchants only need to keep product structured data up-to-date.”

This will make it easier for merchants to get their products quickly on the Shopping tab in Google results and reach online shoppers. With the holiday shopping season approaching, keep an eye out for the feature.
