Keyword Research Guide Posted by Ken McGaffin on 24 November 2006
Many website owners are either in awe of the ‘black arts’ of search engine optimization (SEO) or puzzled by the complexity of it all.
Yet, there's no big secret to SEO. It is all about understanding what is going on behind the scenes, followed by the hard work and attention to detail common to most business activities.
Good SEO starts with keyword research. Search engine optimizers (known as SEOs) want to know the words people use when they search - we call them keywords (‘the words people use when they search’). Use keywords in the text on your web pages (‘website copy’) and your site will prosper: ignore them and your online business will surely perish.
