welcome emails

Welcome emails are a great way to make contact with new subscribers or customers. In fact, 87% of B2C retailers send welcome emails, and if done right they have the potential to drive 320% more revenue than other promotional emails.

So how can you make sure you're getting the most out of your welcome emails?

Many thanks to Easy-SMTP for this great infographic which will take you through the basics of optimizing your welcome emails.

Your subject line, as in all email sending, is critical. Chose the right wording to increase your open rates and email engagement. But don't think that the subject line is the be all and end all of your campaign. Sending split tests which go beyond the subject line and test the visual elements of your email - and never stop testing.

If you're wondering how your email stacks up on the spam-dar check out this great tool, mail-tester, which will review and score your email, and let you know what can be improved.

For some great inspirational examples of different types of welcome emails check our Jimmy Daly's post for Vero.
