Welcome to stuff we like, Wordtracker's weekly round-up of Bing and Twitter's deal, Google Glass and a countdown app.

Last week Majestic SEO announced the launch of their new tool - Search Explorer. Marketing Director, Dixon Jones said “Majestic SEO are pleased to announce the alpha of our Search Explorer™, a specialized search engine which ranks pages based on how influential on the web graph they are based on a given search phrase.” Now live, Majestic SEO have stated that in the upcoming months, developments will be made to Search Explorer. This will mean increasing the search phrases and improving accuracy of search results. Keep your eyes peeled - a review may be on the way in the near future.

This week it was revealed that Bing will be renewing their teamship with Twitter. The agreement is that topical tweets will be displayed within Bing’s search results - a standout feature for Bing and an advantage over competitors Google and Yahoo. Google previously had the useful feature, however, it was discontinued back in 2012. It seems Bing and Twitter have a strong relationship, after Bing expressed working with Twitter as “great.” At this point we are unsure of the length of this deal, but after all the praise, let’s hope Bing can keep this handy feature around.

News regarding Google Glass have been floating around this week. A California woman, Cecilia Abadie, was recently ticketed for driving whilst wearing Google Glass. There have been thousands of vocal opinions across social media platforms, with mixed views on whether she made an obvious offence or was just simply clueless. The question is, does distracted driving now include Google Glass or does the GPS function mean the glass is safe? Let’s see whether Google comment on the matter.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to look forward to the next holiday, birthday or event. If you’re like me and need extra preparation when it comes to an event, then Countdown + Event Reminders Lite is the reminder app for you. After continually seeing this app pop up on my Facebook newsfeed, I thought I would give it a whirl. The app counts down the days and hours, so you’re always kept alerted of the timings to a certain date. The fun feature about this simple app is that you can add personal photos - if you’re counting down to Thanksgiving or Christmas, then how about adding a photo of last year’s Turkey dinner with your family?
