How to become a Wordtracker Affiliate

How to get started with the Wordtracker Affiliate Program

The signup process

Step 1. Signing up

All you need to do is click here and enter your email, name and a password. That's it, you'll be straight through from here into your affiliate dashboard.

Step 2. Enter your PayPal email

When you log in to the Affiliate Program you will see your marketing dashboard. This will show you your overall stats.

You will need to enter your PayPal email address here. That's all you have to do to get your account set up and ready to use. That's it.

Step 3. Grab your link

Scroll down on the same page and below your stats you'll see your signup link.

This is your own personalised tracking code, unique to you.  We'll use this to track your commissions.

Copy the code and share it with your friends, put it on your blog for your readers or place it anywhere else people might click on it. Any signups which come through that link will be tracked and assigned to you.

Affiliate links

The most important part of any link for our affliates is the 'fpr=' modifier. This is what we use to track when a click has come from an affiliate. A cookie is then set on the user's browser for 60 days, meaning that any sale made after that click happens still gets correctly attributed.

Click on the Links section and you'll see a number of ready-made links you can use which go to different areas of the tool such as Inspect, or the in-tool signup modal we use. However as long as you make sure you append the 'fpr=' section to any links you point at us this will be tracked.

You can always double check any links by opening a private browsing window (if you don't use a private browsing window then this won't work) and clicking the link. You should see the click registered under 'Clicks' at the top of your dashboard.

Commissions

Commision is broken down according to the billing cycle, which is dependent on the plan type. So monthly, quarterly and annual plans give different levels of comission.

In celebration of the launch of our new affiliate system, for a limited time, we are offering the outstanding initial commisions of:

Payouts

We have set the payout threshold to $20 meaning in theory any sale should surpass the payout threshold. However there is a 60 day hold on payments to allow for the required refund window as a digital good. Recurring commisions will continue to accrue in this time.

Additional materials

We have loaded the affiliate program with marketing materials, and you are more than welcome to create your own. If you navigate to Assets in your account you'll find a number of banners of varying size and style.

We will keep these up to date with any site changes to make sure anyone clicking through has a cohesive experience, and so we maintain the best possible chance of converting them.

You can grab and use the images as they are, or use the code supplied with them. This will automatically contain your affiliate tracking code and we'll host the images for you.

However, you're also welcome to create your own using our existing assets and branding as long as they uphold our design standards.

If design isn’t your strong point websites like fiverr.com are great for having marketing assets made quickly and cheaply. So you can create the material that fits your audience. We’re also very open to ideas, so if there is anything you would like to see added please do let us know.

We want to make sure our affiliates are well rewarded and have everything they need to be successful. Anything at all we can do to help? Please do get it touch via support@wordtracker.com.
