Matt Cutts announces image filter, Ryanair partner up with Google for new flight comparison tool. Snapchat apologies for spam and app of the week goes to "couch to 5k". Here's some of the stories the Wordtracker office have been reading this week.

This week Matt Cutts posted on Twitter that users are now able to “slice/dice Google image searches by usage rights under 'Search tools'". Although this isn’t exactly a new feature - originally appearing on Google’s advanced search options back in 2009, the improvement has now enabled users to easily filter their image results accordingly. Simply click - 'Search Tools' and then 'Usage Rights'.

Going away this year? Well, this news may keep your flight choices in budget. Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary announced that he'll be partnering up with Google. This means, Ryanair will be sharing pricing details to enhance Google's new flight comparison tool. The tool will display fares without bias and direct customers to third party sites, where they can buy tickets. We should expect to see this handy tool in March.

This week, we're excited to be able to offer our Wordtracker followers a 15% discount code for the SMX conference. If you’re having trouble convincing your boss to let you go, here is a pre-prepared letter. A brilliant idea, saving you the writing - good luck.

Snapchat user? Well this week the company has been apologising again. This time it’s for the users that were bombarded with spammy snaps over the weekend. Snapchat stated on their blog - "We want to apologize for any unwanted Snaps and let you know our team is working on resolving the issue. As far as we know, this is unrelated to the Find Friends issue we experienced over the holidays." At this rate, we'll be getting apologises from them on a monthly basis, let's hope for fewer mishaps to come.

App of the week goes to “Couch to 5k” (here's the Android version). This one is for people who said they would take up running as one of their New Year's resolutions. If that’s you, then this app should be yours. Don’t be fooled by the name, it’s more than just a “5k” you have your very own trainer egging you on. Thanks, Billie (my trainer).
