What does Wordtracker do?

Wordtracker provides web-based tools to help Internet Marketers, SEOs, Link Builders and many others find high performing keywords, build quality links and uncover the language of their market. We currently have two subscription tools and a free Chrome extension:

What do all the Keywords Tool numbers mean?

It can be a little daunting to see a page of numbers on your screen so we've outlined in detail what all the Keywords Tool metrics mean.  However, here's a quick guide:

Volume: the number of times a search for each keyword appears in our database

Competition: Wordtracker's Competition metric gives us a guide to how many pages are already optimized on the web for each keyword

IAAT: The raw number of pages that have the keyword both in the title tag and also in anchor text in a backlink from an external domain

KEI: indicates those keywords with higher search volume and lower competition.

I've forgotten my username / password

No problem! Just use the ‘Forgotten Password’ link on the login page for the Keywords tool. Enter your email address and you’ll be sent a message containing your username and a link to reset your password – it’s a quick and easy process.

How does the trial work?

We're confident that once you use Wordtracker, you'll find it to be an invaluable tool in growing your business online. So we’re giving you the chance to try – it's absolutely free. When you sign up for the 7-day trial, you have access to the tool under the plan to which you’ve subscribed.

A $1 verification charge is made to your card, just to check it’s valid, and this is reversed within a few minutes. You should receive an email from us notifying you of your trial, and you’ll get some helpful messages containing links to resources to help you use the tools and learn more about the tools and the processes involved.

If you like the product, we’ll automatically migrate you on to our monthly rate at the end of the 7 days. If you decide it‘s not for you, then cancel within the 7-day period and you won’t be charged anything.

What happens at the end of the trial?

Once your free trial has ended, your subscription will automatically be renewed at our monthly rate so that you can continue to use the Wordtracker service without interruption. If you prefer to move to an annual subscription, which represents better value, please email support@wordtracker.com for details.

How can I cancel?

You can cancel your subscription at any time via the My Account dropdown link on the top right in the tool.

Click on Subscription in the dropdown and you'll see a link in red to cancel. Once you do this you will not be charged again for the tool but your account will remain active for the remainder of the subscription.

If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged anything. You can also email us to request cancellation.

I forgot to cancel my trial

Don’t worry – these things happen. Just write to us at support@wordtracker.com explaining the situation and we’ll be able to take care of things for you promptly.

How can I change my card details?

It's easy to change or update your credit card details, just log in and go to My Account, scroll down to the 'Billing Information' section where you'll be able to enter new card details.

Do you offer group discounts?

Each account is attached to one username/password. For a group to use Wordtracker, you would need to purchase multiple usernames so the accounts won't get corrupted. We can offer group discounts. Please email support@wordtracker.com for details.

What are the differences between the Bronze, Silver and Gold plans?

Searches

 
Paid plans: 1,000 a month

Our search limits are very generous and you're very unlikely to exceed these with natural searching.

Users on a trial account can run 50 searches a day.

Results delivered per search

 
Bronze: top 1,000
Silver: top 5,000
Gold: top 10,000

Bulk search

You can search on a list of terms via the Import tab on the right of the search bar.

Either manually enter your terms one per line, or upload a .csv file.

You can search on up to 500 terms at a time across all plans for Exact Search results.

 

Trial accounts

Exporting data and uploading lists of keywords to run a bulk search are only possible in paid accounts.

The same data is returned for trial accounts and paid accounts on the same plan.
