Wordtracker publishes new PPC Basics guide
February 21st, 2010
Pay per click (PPC) advertising is the fastest way of getting your business to the top of the search engine results pages. But for the inexperienced user, PPC advertising can quickly attract traffic but few buyers, wasting money. Wordtracker's new guide – PPC Basics - takes the mystery out of PPC, outlining a step-by-step approach that will help online marketers get better value from their pay per click campaigns.
Google’s AdWords network is a quick way of getting your business in front of customers. But for the uninitiated, PPC advertising can quickly become an expensive waste of advertising dollars, attracting visitors, but few buyers.
Now Wordtracker has teamed up with 1UpSearch to publish a free guide, PPC Basics, which takes the mystery out of Adwords and PPC advertising. It contains a step-by-step approach that helps online marketers set up and manage their campaigns.
"Many businesses waste a fortune when they first start using AdWords," says the guide’s author and PPC expert, Ian Howie, "Managing PPC advertising is a complex task and it’s easy to fritter away cash without realizing it."
"To be successful with AdWords you’ll need to choose the right keywords, write relevant ads, and produce good quality landing pages. So, we’ve outlined an easy-to-follow process that will help readers set up a campaign – and more importantly – manage and hone the results," says Howie.
"Getting lots of traffic from your PPC is not enough," says Ken McGaffin, CMO at Wordtracker, "but to get the right visitors – people who are likely to buy – requires understanding of how AdWords works."
"We published this guide so that readers can follow a step-by-step process and use it to advertise their business," continued McGaffin.
"Large businesses and agencies have the money needed to test lots of different keywords and ad copy. But, smaller businesses can’t afford that expense. They need a proven method for attracting good quality traffic. And that’s what this guide provides." adds McGaffin.
