Wordtracker helps you pick the right keywords. But what do you do with them? We’re not going to teach Search Engine Optimization, but here’s a quick summary.
If you want to rank well for a particular keyword, you have to convince the search engines that your site is very relevant for that keyword. How do you do that?
You include the keyword on your pages in important areas, such as within the TITLE tags and in the DESCRIPTION meta-tag.
You use the keyword frequently in the page you have optimized for the page, and throughout your site.
You create internal links in the site pointing to other pages within the site—in particular the page optimized for the phrase—using the keyword in the link text
You build links from other Web sites, pointing to your site, with the keyword in the link text
This is a very simple summary, though. You need to educate yourself about search-engine optimization before you can use your keywords effectively. We recommend Search Engine Optimization for Dummies (see http://www.SearchEngineBulletin.com/)
